Art
Artwork is celebrated at Thorpe Acre Juniors through vibrant displays around the school. Pupils record their initial ideas in a sketchbook and practise sketching, shading and tone through a range of media. Children study the work of famous artists from around the World and complete landscape and observational drawings of the local area. Pupils are taught to sew and use their skills to design and create bookmarks.
Art activity days provide children with the opportunity to progress rapidly by completing detailed art projects.
