• Morrisons Supermarket - World Book Day, March 2020

  We had some very special visitors in school on World Book Day this year.  Visitors from Morrisons Supermarket arrived in school and kindly donated some books to us.  Our School Council took great pleasure in accepting them.  We all subsequently appeared in the Loughborough Echo!

• COVID-19: DfE Helpline

  The DfE have launched a new helpline to answer questions about COVID-19 related to education.  Parents and young people can contact the helpline as follows:

  The school nurse's office have sent a leaflet regarding their ChatHealth Messaging Service which can be of help, especially during these difficult times.  For further information, please see their leaflet under our 'school nurse' tab.

   

• Donated Trees

  Thank you to 3M and the Earth Restoration Service for the generous donation of 50 trees, which have been planted by Mr Burgess and the children, on the school field.  Please see our newsletter for further details.

  Year 3 performed wonderfully this morning to their family members, singing a lot of beautiful songs.  Well done children!

   

  A huge thank you to everyone who donated food today.  This will all go to the Carpenter's Arms in Loughborough, to help those in need.

  

• End of Year Awards

  Congratulations to all those children who received an end of year nomination and award today for their achievements this academic year. Well done! 

• Year 6 Leavers

  What a memorable week Year 6 have had.  They were busy with dress rehearsals for their Leavers' Performance, which they performed brilliantly for on Wednesday evening for their parents; Thursday evening saw them celebrating their time with us at their Leavers' Party and this morning they all received a plaque in which to remember their junior school with.  We wish them all the best in their secondary school and for their futures.

• Sports Day

  Thank you to all the children for such a wonderful sports morning earlier on in the month.  They all competed brilliantly, with medals galore being handed out this afternoon.  Parents and families thoroughly enjoyed watching their children take part.

• A HUGE thank you!

  During the Easter holidays, volunteers from BSI Loughborough came into school and helped tidy our school grounds.  They were busy clearing litter, sweeping up leaves, weeding and planting.

   

  The weather forecast looked very doubtful at the beginning of the day however the majority of the rain thankfully held off. 

   

  21 bags of rubbish later, the grounds certainly look neat and tidy.  Well done BSI and thank you!
