Design & Technology (D&T)
The school has a well equipped curriculum kitchen for the children to cook and to try different foods. Children are encouraged to design, make and evaluate products in a variety of media. Each year we participate in the 3M Young Innovators Challenge where children take on a variety of design challenges and compete against other local schools. Thorpe Acre Junior is a past winner of this prestigious competition!
We actively promote healthy eating and cooking nutritious meals from fresh ingredients.
